Job summary

UHY-US is seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant to provide hands-on leadership and support for the Accounts Payable function in a growing organization in Fresno, California. The role will oversee day-to-day AP activities while actively performing the work, including invoice processing, approvals, coding, payments, vendor management and AP month-end close.

You will lead and perform AP tasks, manage vendor relationships, monitor aging, and partner with finance and operations to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on, end-to-end Accounts Payable experience required.
• Experience leading an AP function while performing day-to-day work.
• Ability to manage high-volume invoices in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform day-to-day Accounting activities, including AP invoice processing, approvals, coding, and payments.
• Oversee vendor management and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Monitor AP aging and ensure invoices and payments are processed accurately and timely.
• Perform AP-related account reconciliations and support month-end close activities.
• Partner with accounting and operations teams to research and resolve AP issues.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on, end-to-end Accounts Payable experience required
• Prior experience as an AP Manager, AP Supervisor, Senior AP Lead, or similar role required
• Demonstrated ability to lead an AP function while remaining hands-on with the day-to-day work
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment preferred
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, approvals, coding, payments, vendor management, and AP reconciliations
