Job summary

Interim Accounting Manager with NetSuite experience is sought for our Indianapolis office. This is a full-time contract role focused on optimizing NetSuite ERP to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

You will lead month-end close, supervise staff accountants, perform variance analyses, and coordinate with external auditors. On-site presence is required three days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an Interim Accounting Manager with significant NetSuite experience. This position will focus on optimizing the client's NetSuite ERP instance to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team.

This role requires an on-site presence in the Indianapolis office three days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Review NetSuite setup / implementation and recommend improvements to optimize process flows and controls.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations prepared by Staff Accountants.
• Perform financial statement variance analysis and provide insights to management regarding financial performance.
• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual and interim audit processes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance accounting operations.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses, reports, and other special projects as needed.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
• Significant NetSuite experience (3-5 years).
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar ERP platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
