Job summary

Vernovis is seeking a Senior Accountant to serve as the primary NetSuite superuser within their Accounting team. The role supports approximately 100 users, handles core NetSuite administration, and partners with IT and third-party resources to optimize the ERP environment.

In addition to system responsibilities, this position supports month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting, bridging finance with technology to improve processes and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with at least 3 years of hands-on accounting experience.
• Solid knowledge of the general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, AP, and AR.
• Strong NetSuite experience, ideally as a superuser, administrator, implementation resource, or accountant responsible for supporting the ERP beyond simply entering transactions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the NetSuite superuser within Accounting, supporting approximately 100 users and acting as the primary internal resource for day-to-day system questions, troubleshooting, access, and data integrity.
• Manage core NetSuite administration, including user roles and permissions, searches, reports, accounting periods, chart of accounts, item codes, and coordination of system updates.
• Partner with the third-party NetSuite provider and internal IT team to troubleshoot issues, define system changes, test enhancements, validate results, and resolve integration or process-flow problems.
• Support the accounting function through month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement review, and investigation of unusual account activity or data issues.
• Develop a strong understanding of end-to-end accounting processes, including AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, leases, loans, and legacy-system integrations, to identify where issues originate and ensure information flows correctly into NetSuite.

What You'll Have:

• Strong NetSuite experience, ideally as a superuser, administrator, implementation resource, or accountant responsible for supporting the ERP beyond simply entering transactions.
• Ability to understand accounting system and business-process flows, including how transactions move between subledgers, the GL, integrations, and legacy systems.
• Strong systems aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot errors, identify root causes, test system changes, manage user access, and clearly communicate technical requirements to a third-party NetSuite provider.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, including intermediate Excel proficiency, attention to data integrity, and the ability to support and guide users across different areas of the organization.

What Experience is Nice to Have:

• Experience serving as a NetSuite administrator, implementation team member, or ERP power user.
• Exposure to fixed asset, lease, or loan accounting environments.
• Experience working with ERP integrations, system enhancements, user training, or reporting development.
