The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness is seeking a part-time/hourly TES Program Assistant/Outreach Specialist in Hamilton/Newark, NJ. The role supports the Mission Support Bureau by connecting IAC with CT/CTC programs, coordinating events, travel, and partner activities.

Ideal candidates have strong interpersonal, public speaking, and Microsoft Office skills; a relevant degree; and the ability to travel across the state, including evenings and weekends for interfaith

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of professional experience in planning, monitoring, coordinating, implementing, modifying and/or evaluating agency programs and services.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and one (1) year of the above-mentioned professional experience.
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline appropriate for the position.
• Driver's license may be required for travel and field work.

Responsabilités

• Assist in administrative, analytical, and professional work to promote program planning and evaluation.
• General outreach with faith-based partners and building strategic relationships across the state.
• Identify areas to grow the IAC program and disseminate information to appropriate bureaus.
• Identify resources within OHSP and with partners for faith-based communities.
• Schedule general member and executive committee meetings.
• Build meeting agendas, secure venues, and perform related duties to support the IAC program.
• Extensive travel across New Jersey and regions for events and outreach.
