Job summary

Griffin Health in Derby is seeking a Per Diem Chaplain to join our Spiritual Care and Education Department. The role provides interfaith spiritual care to patients, families, and staff under the direction of the Director of Spiritual Care and Education.

The ideal candidate will bring compassion, engage in crisis ministry, facilitate groups, support community outreach, and maintain thorough documentation. On-call shifts, weekends and holidays, plus clerical duties and computer literacy are

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required.
Two units of CPE preferred; other relevant experience considered.
Experience in Emergency Department chaplaincy and diversity & inclusion work preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct spiritual support in a professional and compassionate manner.
Lead and facilitate spirituality and support groups, and additional programming as assigned.
Support community outreach, program development, and partnerships within and beyond Griffin Health.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services provided.
Perform in-hospital and on-call chaplaincy shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Offer clerical support and demonstrate computer literacy for administrative responsibilities.
