Job summary

Required: Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2–3 years hospital experience; ACPE/NACC training unit preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required in related field; Graduate Diploma preferred
• Experience in a hospital setting or relevant spiritual/ministry experience is required (2–3 years)
• ACPE or NACC unit preferred (1 unit; more is preferred)
• Knowledge of bereavement principles and health care ethics; strong organizational skills
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide spiritual care to patients, families, visitors, and staff at bedside or outpatient settings
• Lead hospital-wide and community faith-specific and interfaith services
• Share information about religious issues through articles, speeches, or teaching
• Respond to emergencies or crises and provide pastoral support
• Administer religious rites or sacraments, including Catholic sacramental care
