Job summary

US Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command is seeking qualified applicants for anticipated vacancies. The selectee must hold a current PE or RA license and provide a copy with the application package.

The resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service or equivalent in other sectors. Responsibilities include analyzing construction/repair proposals and developing contingency planning briefs.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current PE or RA license in any U.S. state, DC, PR, or territory.
  • Submit license copy with application; wall certificate without expiration date will not verify.
  • Resume must show at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-12.
  • Experience includes analysis of proposals for construction/repair projects and contingency planning briefs.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing proposals to identify necessary construction and repair projects.
  • Reviewing, evaluating, and retaining significant information and recommendations in graphic, tabular, and narrative form.
  • Developing and drafting narrative appendices supplementing basic operations plans with facility availability/location details.
  • Preparing briefs for various audiences of Contingency Planning.

Job description

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: You must currently be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or a Registered Architect (RA). Your license or registration must be held in any State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your current license or registration with your application package. A copy of a wall certificate that does not have an expiration date will not serve to verify this requirement.

In addition to the SPF and the Basic Education Requirements, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

  • 1) Analyzing proposals to identify the necessary construction and repair projects;
  • 2) Reviewing, evaluating, and retaining significant information and recommendations in succinct, graphic, tabular, and narrative form;
  • 3) Developing and drafting narrative appendices supplementing basic operations plans, including detailed descriptive information on existing facility availability and location information;
  • 4) Preparing briefs for various audiences of Contingency Planning.
