Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources seeks a Manager for Interconnection Services in the WECC region. The role covers full lifecycle management of generator interconnections, coordinating with internal teams and external bodies (RTO/ISO/TP/TO) to review standards, studies, and LGIA compliance.

Requires a power systems background, knowledge of RTO/ISO processes, and strong communication skills to present complex data to management and external stakeholders. Hybrid/remote considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in interconnection services or related field.
• Experience with power systems, transmission planning, and reliability standards.
• Knowledge of interconnection study practices with RTO/ISO/TP/TO entities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interconnection analysis with SMEs using PowerGEM, TARA, PSS/E and ASPEN.
• Manage generator interconnection applications and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and verify System Impact and Facility Study results.
• Negotiate with Transmission Providers to reach solutions.
• Develop strategies to optimize the interconnection process.
