Job summary

Westinghouse Electric in Juno Beach, FL seeks a Senior Manager, Interconnection Services to lead the generator interconnection process from development through construction. You will work with ISOs/RTOs and transmission providers to evaluate feasibility, manage studies and navigate regulatory requirements, aligning projects with grid needs.

Qualifications

Experienced in power systems, transmission planning and generator interconnection processes.
5+ years of experience with power flow, short-circuit and stability analysis tools.
Experience with ISO/RTO processes, NERC standards and transmission regulations.

Responsibilities

Perform interconnection and injection studies using PowerGEM, PSS/E, ASPEN and TARA to identify project locations.
Manage generator interconnection applications, ensuring ISO/RTO compliance and timelines.
Review system impact studies, facility studies and network upgrade costs.
Coordinate with development, engineering and construction teams and external partners.
Analyze grid constraints, reliability standards and transmission planning criteria.
Negotiate with transmission providers to improve solutions and reduce costs.
Develop strategies to minimize curtailment and improve outcomes.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to inform strategy.
Communicate complex findings to leadership and non-technical partners.
