Job summary

Sol Systems seeks an Interconnection Engineer to manage solar, storage and hybrid projects through the RTO/utility interconnection process across all lifecycle stages. The role reports to the VP, Transmission Strategy, forming a core part of the Development team in Washington, DC.

The candidate will oversee interconnection studies, support M&A evaluations, and coordinate with utilities, RTOs, and consultants to optimize project timelines and costs while advancing Sol Systems' grid-scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with power systems focus is required or strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of power system fundamentals and analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver utility-scale interconnection projects through the interconnection process from concept to completion.
• Manage interconnection queue positions and prepare modeling packages and supporting docs.
• Coordinate with external consultants for modeling, studies, and analyses to ensure timely deliverables.
