Job summary

Denton County is seeking an Intensive Supervision Probation Officer to supervise juveniles under intensive supervision probation. The role involves assessing probationers, developing supervision and treatment plans, meeting with juveniles to ensure compliance, and maintaining detailed records for court hearings.

The officer will prepare court documents, participate in case staffings, coordinate with schools, families, and other agencies, and arrange counseling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and accredited.
• Minimum two years in social service, community, corrections or juvenile agency that deals with offenders or disadvantaged persons.

Responsibilities

• supervise juveniles assigned to intensive supervision probation.
• assess juvenile probationers and develop supervision and treatment plans.
• meet regularly with probationers to ensure adherence to probation terms.
• maintain records of probationers' activities and status; update as needed.
• develop rehabilitation plans for juvenile offenders.
• attend hearings and prepare reports for court, including Social Histories.
• conduct case staffings and coordinate with schools, hospitals, and families.

Education

Bachelor's degree conferred by a college or university accredited by a recognized accreditation body
