Job summary

Denton County, TX is seeking a Community Supervision Officer to supervise offenders on Pre-trial bond. Under supervision, you will meet with probationers, assess risk, determine supervision level, and provide limited counseling. You will maintain case files and coordinate with law enforcement and court staff.

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Requires a Bachelor's degree and either graduate study or relevant experience; cannot be a Peace Officer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree conferred by an accredited institution.
• Either 1 year of graduate study in related fields or 1 year of full-time casework experience.
• Must not be employed as a Peace Officer; ethics compliance required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with probationers to ensure adherence to Pre-trial bond supervision terms.
• Maintain and update individual case files with contacts and status.
• Provide limited counseling and refer clients to probation services.
• Testify in court regarding probationers' status and compliance.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and court personnel as needed.
