Job summary

Clark-Pleasant Community School District is seeking an Intensive Instructional Assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. The position supports students who receive special education services, with schedules driven by each student's needs and work both in and out of resource/special education classrooms.

Under teacher supervision, the IA will provide push-in inclusion support, small group/one-on-one instruction, sensory integration support, and engage in professional development focused on IEPs

Position Overview:Intensive Special Education assistants will support students who receive special education services. Their schedules will be driven by students' needs, which are ever-changing. They will work both in and out of the resource/special education classrooms. Duties will include push-in inclusion support, resource room small group/behavior/instructional supports, sensory integration support, and any other special education services needed. They will work under the direction of the teacher or record.
Professional development for these IAs will be focused upon topics such as IEPs, behavior plans, related services, teaching support strategies, de-escalation, and other relevant training.
