Penny Lane Centers in Lancaster, CA is hiring an Intensive Services Child and Family Specialist to support families through IHBS. You will work from a strengths-based, family-centered perspective to help youth in home, school, and community contexts.

The role requires collaboration with education personnel and program staff, flexible scheduling, and commitment to equity and inclusion. Training and support are provided as part of a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA) in social services or related field; 6 months experience with children.
• Or BA in non-related field and 2 years’ experience working with children and/or families.
• Or two years college and three years experience working with children and/or families.
• Or four years of experience working with children and/or families with a High School Diploma or GED.
• If lacking paid experience, volunteer and/or personal experience as a child in the foster care system will be considered.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred (verbal skillset only).

Responsibilities

• The CFS provides intensive home-based support and case management as part of the IHBS team.
• The CFS assists the child and family in the home, school, and community.
• The CFS offers mentoring, coaching, behavioral support, education, transportation and related services.
• Maintains close relationships with child, family, educational personnel and program staff.
• Supports adherence to the County contract and program standards.
