Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in (insert location) seeks an Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to assist children and adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. You will deliver one-to-one behavioral interventions and support daily activities, personal care, and data collection on goals.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least 18 years old, and experience with individuals with special needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in educational or healthcare settings preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with individuals with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work or related field preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help and communication.
• Assist with personal care activities including bathing, feeding, dressing.
• Implement and collect data on behaviors and goals from the Behavior Support Plan.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges
• Provides/assists with daily program activities in the areas of self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience working in an educational or healthcare setting preferred
• At least one year of experience working with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
