Maxim Healthcare in Baldwin Park, CA is hiring an Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to work with children and adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors.

You will provide one-to-one behavior intervention services, assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior areas, and collect data in the Behavior Support Plan; requires a high school diploma or GED and 1 year with special needs preferred.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in educational or healthcare settings preferred.
• At least 1 year with individuals with special needs who display challenging behaviors.

Responsabilidades

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor, and behavioral areas; crisis intervention as needed.
• Assist with personal care activities and meal preparation where required.
• Implement and collect data on behaviors and goals in the Behavior Support Plan.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges
• Provides/assists with daily program activities in the areas of self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience working in an educational or healthcare setting preferred
• At least one year of experience working with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
