Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a Direct Support Provider to assist children and adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors in a direct care role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in educational or healthcare setting preferred.
• At least 1 year experience with children/adults with special needs displaying challenging or aggressive behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work or related field preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive and motor areas and crisis intervention.
• Assist with personal care activities (bathing, oral hygiene, meals, dressing, ambulation).
• Implement and collect data on behaviors and goals from Behavior Support Plan.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges
