Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Azusa, CA is hiring an Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to work with children and adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. You will perform one-to-one behavioral interventions and support daily activities under a Behavior Support Plan.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of experience with individuals with special needs and being 18+. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO and support programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in educational or healthcare setting preferred.
• At least one year of experience with individuals with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention.
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed.
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan.
