Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring an Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to work with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. The position offers $25 - $28 per hour and weekly paychecks, with comprehensive health and retirement benefits.

Responsibilities include one-to-one behavioral interventions, data collection, and support with daily living skills; the role may involve personal care tasks and crisis intervention as needed, in a clinical or home-care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in educational or healthcare setting preferred.
• Minimum 1 year working with individuals with special needs and challenging behaviors.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, or related field preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges
• Provides/assists with daily program activities in the areas of self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience working in an educational or healthcare setting preferred
• At least one year of experience working with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
