Job summary

Little City Foundation is seeking an Intensive Behavior Paraprofessional to assist teachers, administrators, and students in implementing educational programs and behavioral support plans. You will supervise classroom activities, help adapt instructional materials, and track student data as part of a collaborative team.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and Paraprofessional Educator License; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with Paraprofessional Educator License.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in education/human services or disability field with a Paraprofessional Educator License or Professional Educator License.
• Experience with individuals who engage in challenging behaviors, including aggression and self-injury.
• Must pass nonviolent crisis intervention classes as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provides instructional support to students to implement educational programs as determined by teachers.
• Constructs or adapts instructional materials and learning centers; monitors student activities.
• Tracks student data throughout the day, electronically and by hand.
• Provides personal and safety assistance and supports behavior programming.
• Communicates with the Assistant Principal and teachers; participates in required meetings.
• Assists with daily activities such as transitions, meals, and supervision in various settings.
• Maintains a clean, organized learning environment and sanitizes surfaces and equipment.

Education

High School Diploma/GED

Paraprofessional Educator License

Bachelor’s Degree in education, human services, or disability related field

Professional Educator License/Professional Educator License with Stipulations
