Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Intellectual Property Associate with 2–5 years of experience to join their team in Tampa, Florida. This is an exciting opportunity for a legal professional with a passion for innovation and IP law to work in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day patent and trademark prosecution dockets.
• Prepare and file documents with the USPTO, including office action responses.
• Conduct patentability and trademark searches and prepare clearance opinions/advice.
• Draft and negotiate IP transactional documents, including software license agreements.
• Provide IP due diligence support in M&A transactions.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with clients and internal legal teams.

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in patent and trademark prosecution and IP transactions.
• Admission to practice law in Florida.
• USPTO registration number or eligibility for the patent bar strongly preferred.
• Experience with IP due diligence and software agreements is a plus.
• Demonstrated practical judgment and ability to manage multiple priorities.
