Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social science field.
  • Two years of experience as a Supports Coordinator.
  • Equivalent to at least six years of public/private social work with 24 college credits in related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Supports Coordination program and ensure excellent customer service.
  • Supervise, train, mentor, and support Supports Coordinators.
  • Lead staff meetings, provide coaching and performance feedback.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with PA ODP training and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote person-centered approaches and Everyday Lives values.
  • Monitor operations for quality improvement and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Represent the agency and advocate for quality services in the community.

Job Title: Supports Coordination Supervisor

Position Type: Full-Time, Management

Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday, in-person

Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000

Position Summary

The Supports Coordination Supervisor is a leadership and management position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of an assigned program and supervising Supports Coordinators who provide services to children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families/circles of support.

This position provides leadership, guidance, and supervision to ensure high-quality, person-centered supports coordination services that promote self-determination, choice, independence, and satisfaction. The Supports Coordination Supervisor works collaboratively with individuals, families, service providers, community partners, and agency leadership to ensure supports and services are delivered in accordance with each individual's plan.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced human services professional who is passionate about supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and is ready to provide strong leadership to a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the assigned Supports Coordination program and promote exceptional customer service.
  • Supervise, train, mentor, and provide ongoing support to Supports Coordinators.
  • Conduct staff meetings and provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Identify staff training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure staff comply with required Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) training and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote best practices and person-centered approaches consistent with Everyday Lives, self-determination, and agency values.
  • Monitor program operations and identify opportunities for continuous quality improvement.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with agency leadership, service providers, community organizations, individuals, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent the agency and advocate for quality supports coordination services within the community.
  • Monitor and respond to incident management requirements in accordance with applicable Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) and ODP regulations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation and records are maintained in HCSIS and the agency's database.
  • Provide caseload coverage and support when necessary.
  • Participate in supervision, unit, management, and agency meetings as well as required training and professional development activities.
  • Collaborate with agency leadership in program planning, problem-solving, decision-making, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • This position may require flexibility to work non-traditional hours when necessary to meet program and agency needs.

Qualifications

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with major coursework in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or another related social science field; and
  • Two years of experience working as a Supports Coordinator.
  • A combination of education and experience equivalent to at least six years of experience in public or private social work, including at least 24 college-level credits in sociology, social work, psychology, gerontology, or another related social science field.
Additional Requirements
  • Act 33 (PA Criminal Record Check) clearance required.
  • Act 34 (PA Child Abuse History Clearance) required.
  • Must maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
  • Must have access to a reliable, personally insured vehicle for work-related responsibilities.
  • Must comply with agency confidentiality requirements and all applicable personnel and program policies and procedures.
  • Must meet all applicable mandated reporting and incident management requirements.
