Job summary

Plaid is a technology company that builds data connectivity tools for financial applications. The Integrations Operations Engineering (IOE) team maintains and expands Plaid's network with financial institutions, ensuring reliable data connectivity and rapid issue resolution.

You will work across engineering, partner relationships, and data teams to diagnose, fix, and prevent critical integration problems, while maintaining uptime and improving internal processes.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years in a highly technical role.
• Experience developing web services and APIs, or clients/integrations that interface with them.
• Strong troubleshooting/debugging instincts.
• A customer-first attitude and empathy in addressing impact to customers.
• Analytical, data-oriented problem solving with SQL experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and external partners.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, NodeJS, SQL, and/or Golang.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve high-impact integration issues by writing maintainable code and deploying to production.
• Prioritize issues by customer impact and improve the prioritization model over time.
• Collaborate with Data Partners and DPR team to diagnose and resolve issues originating from financial institutions.
• Apply mitigation techniques to maintain integration traffic and stability.
• Provide code reviews and ownership of the integrations codebase.
• Handle escalations with appropriate prioritization and expert insight into Plaid integrations.
