Job summary

Plaid Inc. is seeking an Integrations Operations Engineer to strengthen connectivity with financial institutions, resolve high-impact integration issues, and improve data reliability. You will work at the nexus of engineering and partner relationships, writing robust code and prioritizing work by customer impact.

You will collaborate with Data Partners to diagnose issues, apply mitigations, and own the integrations repository while maintaining uptime and throughput for Plaid's network.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years in a highly technical role with hands-on engineering work.
• Experience building or interfacing with web services and APIs.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting instincts.
• Customer-centric approach with clear communication.
• Analytical mindset with ability to slice data to drive priorities.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, NodeJS, SQL, or Golang.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve high-impact integration issues by writing and deploying code, monitoring for regressions.
• Prioritize work by customer impact; quantify the affected clients and users.
• Escalate to Data Partners when the issue lies with a partner and drive resolution.
• Apply mitigation techniques to maintain integration traffic flow.
• Provide code reviews and own the integrations codebase.
• Handle escalations from internal teams with prioritization and subject-matter insight.
• Meet best-effort SLAs on business-critical issues with timely communication.
• Maintain and triage the integrations backlog and improve processes.
• Occasionally build new integrations when impact justifies it.
• Rotate through on-call shifts to maintain uptime.
