Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Software Test Engineer to join a multidisciplinary software team in San Diego, CA. You will focus on automated testing, system verification, and lab-based software/hardware integration within an Agile environment.

The role requires a Secret clearance, experience with at least one test framework and languages (Python/C/C++/C#), and strong OOAD skills. Relocation and 9/80 schedule options may be available, with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related STEM field plus 2 years of experience (or Master’s degree)
• Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance (or higher)
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance
• Experience with at least one automated test framework (Cucumber, Google Test, TestComplete, AQT, Atlas, EggPlant, Unit Test Factory, RTC, ATF, Python)
• Experience with Python, C/C++, or C#
• Experience with OOAD and OOP
• Experience with Agile methodologies – Scrum or Kanban
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Git, Subversion, Confluence)
• Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems

Responsibilities

• Support software development lifecycle across all phases
• Collaborate with software and engineering teams to develop, document, and execute verification tests
• Support software integration with hardware components in labs
• Participate in Agile scrum team to automate infrastructure maintenance and user services
• Design, code, and implement unit, integration, and regression tests
• Analyze requirements and support system-level testing
• Develop tooling to streamline processes and continuous test integration
• Create thorough documentation for integration activities
• Submit detailed problem reports for testing anomalies
