Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. seeks a hands-on interface engineer to design, build, and maintain Artemis interfaces to labs, devices, and external clinical systems. You will own the lifecycle from build through go-live testing and post-launch stabilization.

The role requires Mirth Connect proficiency, HL7 v2.x and FHIR expertise, and experience with LIS/ASTM/DICOM device connectivity across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Mirth Connect experience or equivalent integration engine.
• Proficiency with HL7 v2.x message types and FHIR R4.
• Medical device integration expertise: LIS/ASTM, DICOM, lab analyzer connectivity.
• Proven multi-site interface deployment experience in healthcare.
• Scripting ability (JavaScript / Python / Java) for custom transformers.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain all technical interfaces between Artemis and external clinical systems.
• Ensure data integrity, message reliability, and interface continuity across clinics.
• Design and implement HL7 v2 / FHIR interfaces via Mirth Connect or equivalent.
• Configure Blood Analyzer interfaces (HL7/ASTM/LIS) for devices like Roche analyzers.
• Build USS/ultrasound (DICOM) and HSG system interfaces per device inventory.
• Integrate external lab partners (LabCorp, Quest, Natera, Fulgent) with IT coordination.
• Perform end-to-end interface testing, go-live sign-offs, and post-launch stabilization.
