Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to lead end-to-end data and AI program delivery. You will guide cross-functional teams across nearshore and offshore locations, drive platform modernization, and ensure AI readiness with governance and quality controls.

You will partner with client leadership and solution architects, shaping delivery, metrics, and risk management while advancing AI-native capabilities across the practice.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT, with 4+ years in delivery management of data or analytics programs with distributed teams.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as Data Engineer, Data Architect, BI/Analytics Engineer, or Data Scientist.
• Experience delivering data platforms to production on AWS/Azure/GCP and a modern data platform (Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric, BigQuery or similar).
• Delivery experience on AI/ML or GenAI initiatives in production (RAG, agentic workflows, forecasting, recommendations).
• Hands-on use of AI tools in delivery practice with examples.
• Strong data governance, data quality, and MLOps/LLMOps fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Own scope, schedule, quality, budget, and margin for data engagements from discovery through production.
• Lead delivery of data platform modernization and AI use cases built on it (RAG and agentic apps).
• Ensure data readiness by governance, lineage, metadata and access controls.
• Introduce AI-accelerated practices: AI coding assistants, AI-driven planning and reporting.
• Establish human-in-the-loop controls and responsible-AI practices as appropriate.
• Measure delivery velocity, quality, cost-to-serve, and AI adoption; report outcomes.
• Lead distributed teams of 15-60+ across nearshore and offshore locations.
• Serve as primary client contact for Directors/VPs and run governance meetings.
• Collaborate with solution architects on technical decisions and engineering standards.
• Support pre-sales in shaping solutions, SOWs, and delivery approaches.
• Identify expansion opportunities toward outcome-based models.
• Capture reusable accelerators and mentor delivery leads to grow AI-native capability.
