Job summary

Granite Solutions Groupe seeks a Banking Integration Consultant to join our consulting team. This role focuses on a large-scale banking transformation initiative across Retail and Product workstreams, with emphasis on target operating model design, core conversion readiness, process optimization, and cost synergy identification.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed analysis of Retail Banking functions, including branch strategy, branch operations, staffing models, and training requirements.
• Support Product workstreams, including deposits, small business, credit cards, and mortgages, to identify operating model, process, and organizational synergies.
• Assess impacts of core conversion and integration decisions on customer experience, operational processes, staffing, controls, training, and product delivery.
• Document current-state and future-state processes, identify gaps, and develop implementation recommendations.
• Quantify savings opportunities and develop low-, medium-, and high-risk options, including associated benefits, trade-offs, dependencies, and execution risks.
• Partner with business leaders to validate assumptions, identify decision points, and drive issue resolution.
• Track risks, actions, and benefits realization, ensuring recommendations are actionable and aligned with integration objectives.

About the Opportunity:

GSG is seeking a highly skilled Banking Integration Consultant to join our consulting team. This consultant will serve as a hands-on integration advisor supporting a large-scale banking transformation initiative across Retail and Product workstreams, with a focus on target operating model design, core conversion readiness, process optimization, and cost synergy identification.

This individual will perform detailed analysis, document current and future-state processes, identify integration risks and opportunities, and develop actionable recommendations to help achieve the $62MM cost savings target.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Management, or a related field.
• Experience supporting bank mergers, acquisitions, or financial services integration initiatives, ideally from the acquiring bank or internal business side.
• Strong Retail or Commercial Banking experience within a highly regulated financial services environment.
• Hands-on experience with core banking conversion or large-scale banking transformation programs.
• Experience developing current-state and future-state operating models across people, process, technology, and operations.
• Experience with business process mapping, gap analysis, product/process rationalization, and operational readiness.
• Ability to work independently with limited direction and adapt quickly as integration priorities and requirements evolve.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate working sessions, navigate complex conversations, ask the right questions, and make practical recommendations.
• Consulting experience is preferred, but candidates should demonstrate hands-on execution experience rather than purely high-level strategy work.
• Experience with retail banking products such as deposits, debit/credit cards, mortgages, and small business banking is preferred.
