Job summary

VSC Fire & Security is seeking an Integrated Systems Service Technician to install, test, and repair security, camera, access control, and fire alarm systems across projects. You will troubleshoot issues, read plans, and ensure NEC/NFPA compliance.

The role requires 2–3 years of field experience, strong communication, and a valid license. On-call duties and customer-facing interactions are part of the job. Company provides a vehicle, insurance options, training, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience servicing fire alarm, security, camera, or access control systems.
• Able to read plans and meters with attention to safety signage colors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.
• Willingness to pass background checks and maintain reliable transportation.
• NICET or ITFAS certifications desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and repair security, camera, access control, suppression, and fire alarm systems.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions and false alarms; test for proper operation.
• Explain system function to end users and provide remote troubleshooting.
• Be on call; serve as first point of contact for customers.
• Follow design plans and document changes; travel as needed.
