Job summary

JPS Health Network seeks a Multiskilled Tech II for the Integrated Specialty Unit on days at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. The role handles technical and clerical tasks supporting patient care in a fast-paced surgical/medical setting.

Responsibilities include vital signs, procedures assistance, admissions/discharges support, and inventory management, with emphasis on infection control and patient safety. Requires CNAs/CMA/CCMA/EMT/PCT credentials and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must hold one of the listed credentials (CNAs, CMA/CCMA, EMT, or PCT).
• Current JPS CPR/BLS certification required and maintained throughout employment.
• Active licensure or certification relevant to the role and maintained.
• Complete Area Specific Competency Based Orientation within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care with attention to age and development.
• Assist in infection control and patient safety to prevent transfer or injury.
• Record vital signs, I/O, weights, ECG monitoring, venipuncture, bedside testing, and document in chart.
• Deliver and retrieve items across hospital as required.
• Assist admissions, discharges, procedures, ambulation, and transfers.
• Help stock supplies and equipment per PAR levels.
• Handle clerical tasks (fax, copier, computer, printing, billing, calls).
• Monitor patients on restraints or suicide precautions and document appropriately.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and perform other duties as assigned.

Nurse Assistant certification (CNAs only)

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)

Texas registration (EMT)

Patient Care Tech certification (PCT)
