Job summary

JPS Health Network is seeking an RN Team Lead for the Medical-Surgical unit (Integrated Specialty Unit) on the Day shift at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. The role requires a nursing diploma or higher, 2+ years of relevant experience, Texas RN licensure, and BLS. ACLS is required for monitored units.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or higher required.
• 2+ years of relevant nursing experience.
• Current license by the Texas Board of Nursing (or reciprocity).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and maintained throughout employment.
• ACLS certification if working on a monitored unit, maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor staff across the department.
• Ensure adequate coverage and staffing for assigned units.
• Coordinate orientation and ongoing education for employees and trainees.
• Direct patient care using the nursing process, including medication administration and discharge planning.
• Monitor patient conditions, document findings, and communicate changes to the team.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice.
