Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related experience.
• Experience working with special needs students preferred.
• If assigned to Title I, two years of higher education or an associate’s degree or WorkKeys certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the general classroom or special education teacher with instruction.
• Independently support students in general and special education settings.
• Apply behavior intervention strategies to address social, emotional, and academic needs.
• Collaborate with school staff to implement IEPs and behavioral plans.
• Provide vigilant supervision in classrooms and common areas.
• Assist students with mobility, personal care, and health-related needs.
