Job summary

Amae Health, a Series B, venture-backed Public Benefit Corporation, is building a coordinated, longitudinal care model for people with severe mental illness. We seek a Primary Care Clinician (FNP, MD or DO) for a 1099 contract at our San Mateo, CA location, working 4-5 hours per week on-site with a multidisciplinary team.

RESPONSIBILITIES include holistic assessments, prescribing medications with psychiatric considerations, preventive care, and integrating medical records with mental health

Qualifications

• MD/DO or NP degree required or in process.
• Current, unrestricted California medical license required.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family/Internal Medicine or related primary care.
• Experience as PCP preferred, ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct holistic primary care assessments for patients with severe mental illness.
• Prescribe and manage medications with attention to interactions with psychiatric meds.
• Perform routine physical exams and preventive health screenings.
• Educate patients on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Maintain integrated medical records with mental health care plans.
• Participate in regular team meetings and professional development.
• Uphold compassionate, culturally sensitive care and ethics.
