Job summary

Amae Health is seeking a Primary Care Clinician (FNP, MD or DO) for a 1099 contract at our San Mateo, California location. The role integrates psychiatry, therapy, and primary care within a multidisciplinary team, reporting to the Clinical Director to deliver high-quality SMI care on-site for 4-5 hours per week.

The candidate will conduct assessments, manage medications, perform exams, and maintain integrated medical records to support holistic patient care.

Qualifications

• NP/MD/DO degree required.
• California license to practice.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine.
• Preferred: prior PCP experience.
• Preferred: experience with severe mental illness care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnose acute/chronic conditions.
• Prescribe and manage medications with attention to psychiatric interactions.
• Perform routine physical exams and preventive screenings.
• Integrate medical findings with mental health care plans.
• Maintain accurate, integrated medical records across teams.
• Participate in regular team meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Uphold compassionate, holistic, culturally sensitive care.
