Integrated Pharmacy New Business Sales - Cigna Healthcare - Remote

Position Summary

Provides expert pharmacy content and professional leadership on complex sales assignments and projects. The primary responsibility involves collaborating with internal sales and client managers to develop and execute strategies to sell integrated programs in the 0500 Segment. Develops and implements sales strategies to meet sales objectives. Exercises creativity, foresight, and judgment in planning and delivering initiatives. Uses deep professional knowledge to advise leaders on the value pharmacy adds to the integrated model. Focuses on providing thought leadership to support sales and broader projects, requiring an understanding of wider business. Recognized as a subject matter expert internally.

This role is eligible for sales incentive compensation (IC).

Job Responsibilities

  1. Meet or exceed annual territory sales goals by working with Cigna Healthcare Sales channel partners.
  2. Effectively communicate the use of Cigna's value proposition in sales efforts.
  3. Provide consultative, expert information when promoting Cigna pharmacy.
  4. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, demonstrating strong sales process execution.
  5. Understand prospects' needs, goals, decision-making processes, and organizational influences.
  6. Record and manage all sales activities in SharePoint.
  7. Create and present territory-specific internal strategy documents.
  8. Lead pharmacy-related internal and external sales meetings.
  9. Manage RFP analysis to ensure best practices.
  10. Represent Cigna Pharmacy Management at finalist meetings and in the market.
  11. Stay current on PBM industry trends and competitive knowledge.
  12. Maintain positive relationships with internal departments and teams.
  13. Collaborate with client managers to identify and pursue vetted medical-only clients for transition to integrated programs.
  14. Partner with brokers, TPA, employer groups, benefit consultants, and government entities regarding plan benefits.
  15. Hold monthly strategic meetings on pharmacy best practices with client managers.
  16. Coordinate with the implementation team for smooth transitions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the PBM sector, including product and pricing.
  • Experience in sales or direct client management.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills to demonstrate value both internally and externally.
  • Work ethic, competitive spirit, and motivation to succeed.
  • Ability to develop productive internal and external relationships.
  • Internally motivated to succeed.

For remote work, internet connection must be via cable broadband or fiber with speeds of at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload.

This role may be eligible for an incentive compensation plan.
