Integrated Pharmacy New Business Sales - Cigna Healthcare - Remote

Position Summary

Provides expert pharmacy content and professional leadership on complex sales assignments and projects. Works with internal sales and client managers to develop and execute strategies to sell integrated programs in the 0500 Segment. Develops and implements sales strategies to meet sales objectives, exercising creativity, foresight, and judgment. Uses deep professional knowledge to advise leaders on the value pharmacy adds to the integrated model. Provides thought leadership to support sales efforts and broader projects, recognized as a subject matter expert internally.

This role is eligible for sales incentive compensation (IC).

Job Responsibilities

  1. Meet or exceed territory sales goals through new integrated and carve-in customers, collaborating with Cigna Healthcare Sales channel partners.
  2. Communicate effectively the value proposition of Cigna in sales activities.
  3. Serve as a consultative subject matter expert when promoting Cigna pharmacy.
  4. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, demonstrating strong sales process execution.
  5. Understand prospects’ needs, goals, buying influences, and decision-making processes.
  6. Maintain records of sales activities in SharePoint.
  7. Develop and present territory-specific internal strategy documents.
  8. Lead pharmacy-related sales meetings internally and externally.
  9. Manage RFP analysis and ensure best practices.
  10. Represent Cigna Pharmacy Management at finalist meetings and in the market.
  11. Stay current on PBM industry trends and competitors.
  12. Maintain positive relationships with internal departments and stakeholders.
  13. Collaborate with client managers to identify and pursue vetted medical-only clients for integrated programs.
  14. Partner with brokers, TPA, employer groups, benefit consultants, and government entities regarding plan benefits.
  15. Hold monthly strategic meetings with client managers on pharmacy best practices.
  16. Coordinate with the implementation team to ensure smooth transitions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years in the PBM sector, including product and pricing experience.
  • Sales or direct client management experience.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills for internal and external audiences.
  • Work ethic, competitive spirit, and determination to succeed in opportunities.
  • Ability to develop productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated to succeed.

Note: For remote work, internet must be via cable broadband or fiber with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload speeds.
