Job summary

Stephenson ES is seeking an Interrelated Teacher who delivers high academic expectations to diverse learners, including students with special needs. The role emphasizes collaboration with team members and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Plans and delivers instruction in-person and virtually, develops lessons, and monitors progress while maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment. This position involves coordinating IEP services and collaborating with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education is required.
• Valid teaching certificate in the relevant field is required.
• Special Education certification and endorsements (ESOL & Gifted) are required/advantageous.
• GACE Education Ethics Assessment must be passed.
• Two years verifiable industrial work experience and licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Teaches grade-relevant, subject matter-specific, and mandated curriculum.
• Plans and delivers lessons in-person and virtually with evidence of preparation.
• Communicates with district personnel, students, and parents by phone, email, or video conferencing.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and development.
• Assesses progress, maintains records, and reports on attendance and performance.
• Manages student behavior in line with conduct policies and participates in conferences with stakeholders.
• Directs paraprofessional support when needed.
• Maintains regular attendance and professional responsibilities.
