Job summary

Axis Community Health in California offers a Mental Health Intern role within an Integrated Behavioral Health setting. You will work under licensed clinicians, provide intake assessments, individual/family/group sessions, and participate in supervision hours toward licensure.

The position supports diverse populations, requires a master’s degree in a related field, and an intern with California BBS registration in good standing. Hybrid work and travel between sites are expected.

Qualifications

• Must hold a master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
• Must be a registered intern with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences in good standing.
• Some clinical experience with assessment, diagnoses, and evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health counseling in school or clinic settings.
• Counsel individuals, groups, families, and couples as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and documentation according to laws and Axis standards.
