Job summary

Mary’s Center in Washington, DC seeks a Behavioral Health Consultant to administer Integrated Behavioral Health services within a primary care setting. You’ll triage, provide short episodes of care, and use CBT and solution‑focused modalities to reduce symptoms and support clinicians.

The role requires a Master’s in a relevant field and an independently licensed or entry‑level license, with experience in integrated health or diverse populations. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field.
• An independently licensed provider (LPC or LICSW) or an entry‑level license (LGSW, LMSW, or LGPC) to practice psychotherapy under supervision in the District of Columbia or Maryland.
• Experience in an integrated health environment and/or with immigrant or low‑income populations is desirable.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Word; HIPAA confidentiality/compliance knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site triage and brief episodes of care within a primary care setting using CBT and solution‑focused modalities.
• Serve as a behavioral health consultant, offering crisis management and short-term interventions.
• Coordinate with clinic staff to screen, refer, and link participants to higher levels of care as needed.
• Document all contacts and maintain compliant records within patient charts.
