Job summary

UNC Health Pardee is seeking an Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician to join a primary care team. You will provide brief, evidence‑based interventions and short‑term therapy in real time, while coordinating care and connecting patients with additional resources when longer‑term services are needed.

You will work closely with primary care providers and other staff to ensure timely access to behavioral health care in a fast‑paced medical environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, MFT, or related field required.
• Active NC license (LCMHC/LCSW/LMFT/LCAS/LP) required (full license).
• BLS certification required.
• Demonstrated training in evidence‑based brief interventions (CBT, DBT, MI, solution‑focused).
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑based setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide brief, solution‑focused interventions during primary care visits for patients of all ages.
• Deliver short‑term, evidence‑based therapy in the primary care clinic.
• Conduct focused assessments to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and team members on behavioral health needs.
• Support patients and families in managing behavioral health concerns linked to chronic conditions and stress.
• Facilitate warm hand‑offs and referrals to specialty or community services.
• Participate in team huddles, case consultations, and quality improvement efforts.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with standards.
• Engage in ongoing licensure and continuing education.
