Job summary

Pullman Regional Hospital is seeking an Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician to join the Network Clinics. The role provides brief behavioral health interventions for patients with chronic illness within an integrated care framework.

Schedule is Monday-Friday 8-5, with emphasis on engagement, assessment, and coordination with primary care teams. Candidates should have a Masters in Social Work or Counseling with clinical licensure (LICSW in WA preferred) and at least two years of therapy

Qualifications

• Masters-level clinical license or eligible for LICSW in WA.
• Experience providing brief behavioral health interventions.
• Ability to work in an integrated care setting with primary/specialty care teams.

The BHC provides brief behavioral health interventions for patients with chronic illness who’s emotional and/or behavioral issues negatively impact their health management. This position will provide screening, triage, education, and clinical intervention services to individuals who are receiving care in the primary or specialty care clinics.Functions include engagement and relationship building, assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions and interdisciplinary coordination.Secondary function is to assist with resource location and advocating for benefits.**A Day in the Life:**-Provide brief intervention therapy for clients who are not in need of longer-term mental health services or who present in the primary care environment who require more immediate attention.-Assess health literacy of patients and tailor treatment accordingly.- Interventions include motivational enhancement counseling, adjustment to illness, treatment adherence issues, behavior modifications, stress management and psycho-education.-Initiate and foster collaboration between patient and referring medical provider.-Provide parents/guardians with education on managing health conditions.-Maintain knowledge of local and regional resources and assist families in accessing resources when appropriate.-Provide clinical documentation in a timely manner.-Manage schedule to best meet the needs of clinic patients.-Maintain records in EMR in keeping with professional standards.-Submit billings to financial services in a timely manner.**About You!****This Job is For You if You Have:*** Masters in social work appropriate clinical licensing* Masters in counseling with appropriate clinical licensing* PhD in psychology* Minimum two years’ experience providing therapy.* Licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the State of Washington.* Cultural competency with diverse groups.* Understanding of trauma informed and patient centered care models and interventions.* Competency in brief intervention models.* Ability to manage time and multi-task with hard deadlines for completion of duties.* Computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and ability to learn electronic medical record.**Company Perks:**Our employees are our most important asset and that’s reflected in our benefits.
