Job summary

Team Recovery LLC is seeking an Intake Specialist to coordinate admissions, orient new clients, and document processes in the electronic health records system. You will work closely with clinical and operations teams to ensure accurate and complete intake packets.

The role requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, and CDCA with a preference for QMHS III. Prior behavioral health experience and knowledge of addiction and mental health concepts are valued to support seamless patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CDCA licensure is required; QMHS III is preferred.
• CPR certification is required and training will be provided after hire.
• 1+ year of experience in behavioral health is preferred.
• Knowledge of addiction and mental health conditions is essential.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and duties.
• Knowledge of the 12-Step Recovery Program is beneficial.
• Familiarity with community health resources and referral procedures.
• Strong problem solving, ethics and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare admission paperwork prior to patient arrival.
• Meet patients on arrival to complete intake packets and releases.
• Introduce treatment plan and schedule to new patients.
• Provide a patient handbook explaining program rules and rights.
• Explain safety measures, infection control, and program schedule.

Team Recovery is an addiction treatment center dedicated to supporting individuals affected by substance use and mental health disorders. Job Summary:

The purpose of an Intake Specialist is to work alongside the clinical and operations team to ensure all clients are signed into the program, oriented to the program, received all the essential program information, and document all of the process through the company electronic health records.

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare all admission paperwork prior to the patients' arrival.
• Meet with all patients upon arrival to complete the intake packet, including, consents, authorizations, releases of information, policy acknowledgements, etc.
• Complete the initial introduction of the treatment plan with all new patients.
• Provide a patient Handbook explaining the program, expectations, rules, and rights.
• Ensure the patient understands all program safety measures, emergency management, infection control measures, and the schedule of the program.
• Meets with families at time of admission, answer any questions / concerns.
• Collect any payments at time of admission as requested.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED required

License Requirements:

• CDCA required, QMHS III preferred.
• CPR certification required, will train upon hire.

Experience Requirements:

• 1 or more years of experience working in behavioral health preferred.
• Knowledge of addiction and mental health complications.
• Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and assumption of duties not delineated in the job description which are related to work as a member of an addiction services team.
• Knowledge of community health resources that support life improvement in physical, emotional, mental health, spiritual health, economic security, employment, positive social and family interdependence and positive cultural identity.
• Knowledge of referral procedures and admittance criteria for health care and community providers.
• Ability to network and collaborate with healthcare and other social and cultural agencies that can provide services to the clients and families.
• Knowledge of the 12-Step Recovery Program.
• Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics and team building.
• Knowledge of alcohol and other drugs that includes alcohol and addictive drugs and their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual impact on the individual and the family.
