Job summary

West Ohio Community Action Partnership (WOCAP) is seeking an Intake Specialist for the Celina Mercer-County site, with potential coverage at Auglaize or Allen County locations. The role runs 40 hours per week, 8-5, and focuses on processing client applications, maintaining confidential files, and accurate data submission.

-qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, with an Associate degree preferred, and must pass a drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

WOCAP, a local non‑profit organization, is seeking qualified candidates for an Intake Specialist, primarily at our Celina Mercer‑County location, but may be needed at our Auglaize or Allen County sites. This position is 40 hours per week, 8-5.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing, screening, reviewing, and processing applications of clients for all agency programs.
• Ensuring confidentiality for all client files.
• Maintaining organized documentation of all client files.
• Submitting accurate, complete data to supervisor and required data programs.

Requirements

MUST be able to pass drug screen and background check. Minimum of high school diploma/GED required; Associates Degree in Human Services or Social work preferred, or relatable experience. possess Must be able to communicate effectively-written and verbally. Must have the ability to assist and relate to a diverse population. Valid Ohio driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and privately-owned vehicle during working hours required. Ability to check electronic mail, entering data into program-specific software for required reports, and Internet skills required.
