Job summary

BayCare Health Systems in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health RN to join St Joseph's Hospital's Behavioral Health Center. The Clinical Nurse II will care for a defined patient group using the nursing process and collaborate with the health care team.

Requirements include RN license, BLS, and an Associate's or Diploma in Nursing; two years RN experience. Night shift 6:45 PM–7:15 AM; full-time with weekends every other.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Two years' RN experience required; prior Behavioral Health experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Care for a defined group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards
• Delegate appropriate patient care activities to the health care team
• Maintain professional accountability and participate in staff development
• Serve as preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

The Clinical Nurse II is responsible for:

• Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
• Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
• Professional accountability and development.
• The Clinical Nurse II performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Certifications and Licensures:

• Required - BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Required - RN (Registered Nurse)
• Preferred - Nurse Specialty

Education :

• Required - Associate's or Diploma in Nursing
• Preferred - Bachelor's in Nursing

Experience:

• Required - 2 years' experience as a licensed RN and completion of all Clinical Nurse Requirements
