Job summary

The City and County of Denver is seeking a Social Case Worker Supervisor to lead the Intake Social Case Worker team within Denver Human Services. You will coach, plan, and assign cases while prioritizing the best interests of children and families in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates bring supervisory experience, knowledge of child welfare practices, and a commitment to federal/state standards. This hybrid role requires residency in Colorado and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in human services or related field.
• Certification as social case worker supervisor per CDHS/CDOS rules.
• Experience with child welfare or adult protective services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, and reviews activities of social case workers in intake.
• Directs case management, risk assessment, and service eligibility decisions.
• Trains staff in social work techniques and ensures compliance with laws and policies.
• Builds relationships with community providers to maximize resources.
• Documents records and supports staff in court testimony when needed.
