Job summary

Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in Independence, MO is actively hiring an Admissions and Intake Registered Nurse (RN) to join our PRN team. This compassionate, clinically skilled RN will conduct comprehensive assessments, determine appropriate levels of care, and support admissions decisions in behavioral health.

Qualifications

• Missouri RN license or Compact is required.
• Experience in behavioral health, assessments, crisis intervention, and admissions preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Be able to work 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for admission decisions.
• Evaluate patients for appropriate levels of care and admissions criteria.
• Perform crisis intervention and risk assessments as needed.
• Coordinate information with physicians and other staff to complete admissions.
