Hospital for Behavioral Medicine in Worcester, MA, is seeking an Intake Registered Nurse (RN) to assess patients admitted to the hospital and perform medication reconciliation with physicians. The role requires an active MA RN license and completion of a medication administration exam, with CPR and behavior-management training preferred.

The RN Intake will handle assessments for pediatric to geriatric populations, document care, and coordinate with physicians for orders.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited RN program; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Currently licensed to practice by the Massachusetts State Board of Nursing.
• Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients being admitted to the hospital.
• Complete medication reconciliation with physician orders.
• Document patient information and nursing care in the electronic record.
• Call physician for admission and medication orders.
• Walk patient to unit and provide handoff to the unit nurse.
• Report signs of infection or clinical decline to the physician.
