Job summary

Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, Inc., is seeking an Intake Coordinator for day or night shift to coordinate assessments and referrals. You will work closely with community, clinical and support staff to ensure timely authorizations and admissions, with duties spanning inquiries and scheduling in a busy behavioral health setting.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, some college in psychology or nursing, and at least two years in

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred in psychology or nursing.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an outpatient environment, preferably in mental health.
• Must pass TB testing and obtain Arizona Fingerprint Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate assessment and referral activities for the facility.
• Interface with community, utilization review, business office and clinical staff to ensure continuity of communication.
• Handle inquiry calls, track initial authorization and schedule evaluations/admissions. Shifts: day or night.
