Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP is seeking a Paralegal to join our Intake team in our Seal Beach office. This is a 100% in-office role with no remote work.

The ideal candidate will support attorneys through discovery, trial preparation, and records management, with a focus on civil litigation and meticulous organization. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and ABA-approved paralegal certificate, plus 3+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm.

Qualifications

• 3+ years paralegal experience in a law firm
• Civil litigation experience required
• Familiarity with web-based legal research services

Responsabilités

• Assist attorneys with civil case preparation during discovery and trial
• Handle discovery and records management; prepare subpoenas and track responses
• Summarize medical and employment records; create chronologies; summarize discovery responses
• Review and summarize records and data in tort cases, including medical records and transcripts
• Assist with motion writing including oppositions and discovery motions
• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel; learn document/case management systems
• Organize and prioritize many tasks; meet tight deadlines with attention to detail
• Record billable time accurately and promptly
