Job summary

Mom’s Meals in Des Moines area seeks an Intake Manager to lead a team of Intake Specialists and Supervisors handling authorizations from Area Agencies on Aging, managed care organizations, and health plans for home-delivered meals. The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership and process improvement.

You will oversee a large team, drive performance, train staff, create reports for senior leadership, and collaborate with health plan partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, with 5+ years of management experience in health services or managed care.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of approximately 100 front-line employees and 5-8 supervisors.
• Track and document employee performance; conduct performance reviews.
• Create and distribute reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Train, motivate, and coach staff to improve satisfaction, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Manage training needs for new hires and existing staff.
• Address escalated questions from Intake Specialists and Call Representatives.
• Drive productivity using department metrics and implement process improvements.
• Coordinate with care, sales, and revenue cycle teams; lead weekly meetings.
